Not too bad….

That’s what 978 dollars and some change worth of toys looks like. Not too shabby. Big and little gifts for about 80 local kids. What it really took was setting up a Facebook event asking people to make a conscious effort to give back. The funny part is only 10 people showed up. The generosity of 10 people and Target made the holidays brighter for 80 Quad City children. What if 100 show up to the next one? What can you accomplish in your area? It isn’t us that loses out, get off the couch and get involved!

Aside

Well, today’s …

Well, today’s the day. It is of course raining, It doesn’t deter the postal service, and it sure isn’t going to stop us. My efforts to secure a cube truck or a rental van were pretty much in vain, so I’m taking my truck. Hoping to pack it so full that I’ve only got room to drive. I’ll be posting some pictures, and stuff once we get done, and maybe a few here and there throughout the day. LETS DO THIS!

Well, the first ever TOT MOB anywhere is approaching fast. This Saturday the 26th of November a bunch of locals are meeting up at a Target store with the intention of buying up a ton of toys – with our local Toys For Tots as the benefactor. I’d like to see atleast 50 people show up for this just to show that even in small numbers a lot of good can be accomplished if you just give people a goal and a date. Is it gonna happen? God, I hope so. It isn’t me that loses out if it doesn’t.

I’d like to see 4 other people from outside of this area set one up by the end of November. You don’t have to be anyone special to do it, you just have to care.

Thank you!

Pretty awesome to me that you stopped by tot-mob.org, means I’m getting something accomplished. More content to come as I get time, for now we’re also on Facebook at Facebook.com/tot.mob and on twitter @totmobforkids.

Thanks!
